Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali along with actors Sharvari Wagh and Vedang Raina recently stepped out in Mumbai to promote their upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga, and the trio instantly grabbed attention with their vintage-inspired appearance. Posing alongside a classic bicycle, the team created an old-school romantic vibe that perfectly matched the emotional tone of the film. The visuals from the event quickly went viral online, with fans praising the refreshing retro aesthetic.
Sharvari Wagh looked stunning in a white bubble-hem mini dress paired with a beautifully embroidered denim jacket, while Vedang Raina kept things stylish and relaxed in a tan button-down shirt and distressed wide-leg jeans. Imtiaz Ali maintained his signature understated style in a navy blue shirt. While the lead trio attended the promotional interaction, actor Diljit Dosanjh, who also plays a major role in the film, was absent from the event.
Set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition of India, Main Vaapas Aaunga is described as an emotional multi-generational romantic drama exploring themes of migration, longing, memory, and loss. The story revolves around Jiya and Keenu, played by Sharvari and Vedang, whose love story unfolds across different timelines and generations. Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah also features prominently in the film, with Vedang portraying the younger version of his character.
The film has also generated strong excitement for its music as it reunites the iconic trio of A. R. Rahman, Irshad Kamil, and Imtiaz Ali. The recently released track Maskara, sung by Vedang Raina and Nilanjana Ghosh, has already received a warm response from audiences on social media. Produced by Applause Entertainment and Window Seat Films, Main Vaapas Aaunga is scheduled to release in theatres on June 12, 2026.
